This lesson is designed to look at the early start of the Revolutionary War. In this lesson we will examine the 1st Continental Congress, The Declaration of Independence, the Founding Fathers, and the first battle at Bunker Hill. We will be looking at sevral different resources to get a good idea of all of these topics and how they all played major roles in the American Revolution. Students will be engaged in various activities designed to touch on each one of the topics. Each activity will be different but will incorporate the same theme of understanding the major events, people, and ideas. As a class we will use several resources from the internet, as well as research each major topic.

This is a scavenger hunt students will be required to complete. The scavenger hunt touches on most of the topics we will cover in this unit. this is a virtual scavenger hunt, so students will be going to several websites whcih have been chosen because of their depth in content. The whole goal of this scavenger hunt is to empour the students to do their own learning and to use the internet to travel to various locations important to the Unit. The use of the internet in this lesson is going to be key for kids, because they will be able to travel virtually outside the classroom to research the various topics.
